Stutter

Grey gooses flutter

Your hand against my chest

Whispers tickle secrets

I say to you

You say to me

Ear to ear

My hand on your knee

Grasping tightly woven baskets

Bread, butter, pickles, and Jelly

Warmly unkind weather

Hardly the time to test her

I don’t love you

Did I stutter?
