#15: Popsicles & Playtime

Sunset on a Saturday

I want candy 🎶

Oil-stained driveway

Today is our day

Let's play

Rainbow chokers & jellies

Candy on the beach, there's nothing better🎶

Popsicles in our bellies

Rollerblades rumbling

Ignorance with independence

A dangerous mix

But I like candy when it's wrapped in a sweater🎶

See the resemblance?

Or is it misplaced acceptance

Some day soon I'll make you mine🎶

Me?

Then I'll have candy all the time🎶

Now?

Someday soon you'll see me

Then I'll see 'us' as 'we'

Candy baby can't you see🎶

You're not the Candy for me

...

Nothing is free

Without reality

Oh dear,

Stay here

Skate-on to mom

Don't learn

Don't grow

Don't move along

This place you are

So close to home

Don't let the sun

hideaway

Don't grow fears

Or melt away

Skate-on

Stay here

You don't want to be

Candy

Anyway
